I did one better….
Remember that dump cake I made? That I said was the best thing I’d ever eaten, ever? Well….I’ve one-upped it. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out, but the official decision is “mind-numbingly delicious”.
This is my Pumpkin Spice dump cake. It doesn’t look like much, but it’s a. maze. ing.
Did some grocery shopping today and stopped in the baking aisle. Because I have a death wish. I pondered over all the pie-ish fillings, blueberry, apple, blackberry, cherry, lemon, pumpkin, all of it. Finally, I decided on pumpkin pie filling and spice cake. And I’m wicked glad I did. I took
the pie filling and added the 2 eggs and 5 oz. can of evaporated milk it called for. Then, because I love fall desserts, I took a whole nutmeg and grated some into it. Spread it into the pan and topped it with the box of spice cake. Added the patted butter and popped ‘er in. It’s incredible. Not only does it taste amazing, it made the house smell like heaven. So. So. So. Good.
I’m going to put a big, warm glop of this in a bowl, top it off with some Ben & Jerry’s Cinnamon Swirl ice cream and then pass out in a sloppy, bloated, creamy, spiced, pumpkin-y drunk fashion. I bet I’ll have a hangover.
