Starting over
I cannot believe this. My blog completely imploded, y’all. Somehow, out of the blue, the stupid thing just decided that I wasn’t allowed to log in to my admin anymore to write posts or anything. Apparently, there’s some sort of major problem with Movable Type and everybody’s having problems. After spending five days fighting with it, changing servers, upgrading, spending 2 days trying to get answers on their support forum, I GAVE UP. A lot of people on the forum were saying they were tired of fighting it, too, and that WordPress was way easier, so I’m giving it a go. The big problem is that I can’t import all my old posts. Which totally makes me want to SCREAM. But I’ll see what I can do.
Anyway – I’m back. I’m not utterly thrilled with how this looks yet and I’m not sure how to get all my sidebar stuff back up, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually. Today? Was spent grocery shopping and baking. I made 12 DOZEN chocolate chip cookies today. 3 dozen for Maggie’s class and the rest to send to Steve’s brother’s unit in Iraq. I’m sure I’ll keep a dozen or so here, but right now I’ve got 3 gallon sized Ziploc bags filled with cookies. Next, I have to make oatmeal raisin – which is the cookie I’m famous for – and some loaves of banana bread. Eek. I love baking, but not in such insane industrial quantities.
Let’s see – I’ve also got a new kit out!! I’m completely in love with this kit. The inspiration was all my favorite Jane Austen/E.M. Forster novels (Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Howard’s End, etc) and their corresponding movies. The colors of tea and flowers and the essence of suppressed passions and stolen glances over Earl Grey and scones. Check it out!
I even made a LO with it already. Y’know, I swore I would never make a layout about my obsessive tendency toward certain British actors. But then I was reading Simple Scrapbooks’ Scrapbook Play and they have an idea of doing a layout of an infatuation with a fictional character. And, of course, I thought of the 2 I have that would fit perfectly with this kit. Hence….Infatuation:
