Look! At what I did today!

I actually did something nice for my house today. I have these cool rub-on wall words things from Walligraphy that I’ve been holding off putting up. Not sure why I was waiting, maybe I thought it would be harder than it was. So I finally got it done today & I love it. I put the first one up between the dining room and living room.

The living room has a vaulted ceiling, so there’s a kind of divider between the 2 rooms. That’s facing into the living room – what you’ll see when sitting at the dining room table.

Then, going from the kitchen into the family room is this one:

I just love this. Having words written on the walls of your home. I’d like a few more – especially Scripture – for the living room, bedroom and maybe the basement. It makes me happy.

I also got a comment regarding my Black Friday post with what I thought was an excellent suggestion. Shopping for more handmade gifts for Christmas and other holidays. She suggested checking out etsy.com and I was SO GLAD she did, because it hadn’t even occurred to me! I think this is a fantastic idea. First, if you have people to shop for who are one of those “people who have everything”, etsy is a great place to find something unique, original and even tailored specifically for them! I can think of at least 4 people for whom I will definitely be shopping at etsy. I already spent about an hour browsing over there and have quite a few ideas, so the big problem will be choosing only one thing. And, of course, not buying for myself. Cuz I found a few things I really loved. Like this. And this. And this. Good stuff. Check it out!

  • This looks great! I couldn't believe it's the sticker on the wall.
  • This is great! I saw one from one of my daughter's friend's home and I thought it was hand-written on the wall. Now I think it must be the same type that you got. Really beautiful!
  • I love the way the words look in your home. I need to paint my walls before i do anything like this. But you have given me some inspiration.
